Phoenix X 703

We enjoyed the stay, but had various issues with cleanliness of property. Pot and pans and silverware had to be rewashed. Pots had to be hand scrubbed as there was a lot of food stuck on them. Had to buy scrubber. Shower doors has a lot of mold and mildew on them. Floors needed better cleaning. Lock on the Heavy door to balcony was a real problem and needs replacement or adjustment as the hook/lock mechanism would move when closing and locking you out. Fortunately there was always someone to let you back in. A lot of sand in track made it even harder to open with one hand, but after vacuuming and spraying with Pam it did slide a bit better, but still with 2 hands. Got the run around when requesting an extra fitted or flat sheets for the beds and never was able to get any. Mattresses were not very firm and could feel husband’s every movement. Blinds were busted and missing slats and had to use black trash bag to block out for privacy, traffic and sun.
Got the run around on that as well. Extra sheet would have helped out there as well. We did enjoy the ocean view and clean beach!

Phoenix X is a wonderful resort with friendly and helpful employees, great beach access and awesome outdoor amenities including the pool and BBQ / eating area. However, unit 703 was a complete disappointment, especially considering the cost per night. The unit was extremely outdated and dirty. The showers had mold everywhere. The master toilet seat was broken. The refrigerator door was covered in rust. The mini blinds for the 2 front bedrooms didn't block any of the morning sun and one of them had slats broken off. The twin sheets, kitchen counters and floors were covered in sand/grit, prior to our arrival. Not sure how that happens, especially with bedding but maybe the unit wasn't cleaned prior to our arrival? The sand got worse during our stay due to the fact that the unit has little to no doormats or carpeting to control the sand. The only broom provided to sweep the sand was several years beyond needing to be thrown out and didn't include a dustpan. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. I would highly recommend staying at Phoenix X but I would never stay in this unit again.

There are pros and cons for this unit. Phoenix X is the perfect location. The beach and pool were great and I liked having the parking garage. The Property Managers were very responsive whenever we had a question or problem. There was adequate room for everyone. The beach access was perfect. The kitchen was WELL STOCKED. There is a regular coffee pot not a keurig just FYI. The cons: the condo was very humid and we did not leave the balcony door open. The condo could use some touch up: for example the refrigerator is rusted on the outside and gives you the feeling it is unclean, the master shower needed a better cleaning in the door (it had mold).If you ever replace the shower, please add more places for guests to put their toiletries. It’s always an advantage to have a place to shave your legs. The 2nd bathroom had obvious mold and water damage on the wall and vanity. The kitchen cabinets are worn a bit. Simple updates like new lamp shades, newer TVs, and painting the doors and a fresh coat of paint would be beneficial.
